How to create a Test site
To create a testing site with Copilhost, ensure you have an active Cloud hosting plan.
Copilhost makes it incredibly easy to create testing environments, whether you're learning WordPress or building a client's site before they have their own hosting.
Initialize Creation
Go to the "Sites" menu and click "New" > "Create test site".
Configure your site
A pop-up will appear, asking you to:
- Enter a name for your testing site.
- Select the Cloud where you want to host it.
- Choose your login credentials (Username and Password).
Pro Tip: You can generate random credentials by clicking the refresh icon (rotating arrows) next to the fields.
Don't worry about memorizing them; you can easily access them later directly from your CoPanel.
Set an expiration date (Optional)
You can set an expiration date for your site. This is particularly useful for temporary tests.
Once the date is reached (e.g., after one week), the site will automatically expire and be removed from your Cloud.
⚠️ Warning: Once a testing site is deleted or expired, it cannot be recovered.
Use a Template (Optional)
The "Create from template" option allows you to build your site using a pre-saved configuration. For more details, please refer to our article on Template Creation.
Finalize
Click "Create" and wait about 30 seconds.
🎉 Your test site is ready! Click the "Login" button to be automatically logged into your WordPress dashboard.
Forgot your login details?
If you ever need to log in via the classic URL (yourdomain.com/wp-admin) and forget your credentials, you can find them anytime.
Just click the three dots (menu icon) on your site card within the CoPanel to reveal your login info.
