Sharing / Transferring clouds

At Copilhost, we’ve simplified sharing and transferring websites and Clouds to make collaboration easier for WordPress professionals.

Of course, these features are available to all our customers, whether you are a developer or a business owner.

1. Sharing a Cloud with another account

Cloud sharing allows you to grant another Copilhost user access to a specific Cloud and its entire content.

The invited user will have the same rights as you, including access to all features, options, hosted sites, and associated domains.

However, they cannot re-share the Cloud with anyone else.

You will retain full access to your Cloud throughout the process.

How to share a Cloud:

1. Go to your Cloud Dashboard. To do this, open the "Clouds" tab and click "Manage" on the relevant card.
2. In the left-hand menu, click "Sharing and Transfer".
3. Enter the email address of the person you wish to invite. If they don't have a Copilhost account yet, they will be invited to create one when they accept the share.
4. The recipient will receive an invitation email. Once accepted, your Cloud (along with all its sites and domains) will instantly appear in their Copilhost dashboard.

Revoking access: You can revoke access at any time.

Simply return to the "Share & Transfer" tab and click the "X" icon next to the user's email address.

The Cloud and all its associated assets will instantly disappear from their account.

2. Transferring a Cloud to another account

Cloud transfer allows you to hand over full ownership of a Cloud to another user.

⚠️ Important: Once the procedure is complete, you will lose all access to the Cloud, as well as its sites, domain names, and mailboxes.

The new owner will be responsible for adding their own billing information to cover future renewals.

How to transfer a Cloud:

1. Go to your Cloud Dashboard. Open the "Clouds" tab and click "Manage".
2. In the left-hand menu, click "Share and Transfer".
3. Enter the recipient's email address. If they are not yet a member, they can create an account upon accepting the transfer.
4. Verification Step: The recipient will receive an email to accept the transfer. Simultaneously, you will receive a confirmation email. The transfer will not be finalized until you confirm your intent via this email.
5. Once confirmed by both parties, the Cloud will be moved to the new owner's account. Consequently, the Cloud, along with all associated websites and domains, will be permanently removed from your account.
